Avenham and Miller Parks

This project saw Urban Wilderness provide a range of consultancy services to Preston City Council, to help deliver the historic restoration of this much-loved and well-used heritage asset on the banks of the River Ribble. Works included planting design, eradication strategies for Japanese Knotweed and Horsetail, an extensive tree transplanting programme, supervision of extensive site-wide drainage works, removal and replanting of historic riverside Horse Chestnut avenue, other specialist tree works and restorative planting strategies.
