Ellis Grove, Care Home

Urban Wilderness developed a communal courtyard and landscape setting for an Extra Care scheme in Nottingham. The proposals sought to deliver safe, legible, engaging and beautiful spaces for both independent enjoyment and socialising.

The design offers an inclusive and stimulating environment for residents, potential visitors, and staff, which can be actively enjoyed or overlooked from the surrounding private patios, internal rooms and terraces. Careful consideration of the multi-functionality of space was required within this scheme due to competing uses, restricted space and a wide range of user ability.
