James Harris - Landscape Architect

James Harris

James is our gentle giant; a runner, an advocate, a force for change.

After graduating in 2010 from Kingston University in London, James worked for 3 years, assisting with the design and delivery of a number of award winning public realm schemes within the urbanism team of an international architectural practice in London, before moving to Dubai to take on the role of Project Landscape Architect.

James has developed a strong track record of public realm design and implementation within the UK, China, and the middle east, working on a variety of different scales and for a wide range of user groups. Before joining the team James’s experience includes public realm design and implementation throughout Mayfair, London, for BDP, and streetscape, infrastructure, public realm design, and podium design for Cracknell in Dubai.

Since joining Urban Wilderness James has been instrumental in the detailed design and delivery of a new Reception and Environment Centre for Nottingham Trent University and the creation of a temporary landscape installation in St Helen’s Square, York for the Bloom! Festival.

James is a Licentiate Member of the Landscape Institute and is currently undertaking his Pathway to Chartership.
