Pro-Bono Work

Urban Wilderness periodically get involved with charities or similar organisations to provide services on a pro-bono basis. If it's a cause we believe in then we are more than happy to help! Examples include: Sheffield Mencap and Gateway - Landscape feasibility and design to enhance the grounds of an existing centre for people with special learning needs in Sheffield. Percy Cane - Landscape Restoration of the Broomhill Library in Sheffield. Holbeck Viaduct - Landscape advice and 3D Visualisation for a community project in Leeds aimed at turning a disused, elevated rail line, belonging to Network Rail into a community resource with the potential to connect Holbeck to the City Centre.

“Bloom! was a fantastic festival involving over 120 separate projects across York. There were many highlights but the display that undoubtedly had the most impact was the one created by Urban Wilderness, and sponsored by McArthurGlen, for St Helen’s Square. It was stunning and transformative and showed the possibilities for developing the public realm in a totally different way. It generated masses of interest and led to a call to make it a permanent fixture beyond the 4 days of the festival.” Steve Brown, MD, Make It York
